Cleaning turnover

Cleaning turnover · definition
  • A turnover is the full reset between guests — cleaning, linen change, restock and damage check — done inside the checkout-to-check-in window, usually 4–5 hours.
  • Category: Operations

Why it's the operational heartbeat

Every booking ends in one. Same-day back-to-backs are where standards slip: a missed turnover is a guest standing at the door of an unmade flat — the worst review there is.

Who pays

Guests, almost always: the cleaning fee on the booking covers the cleaner's invoice. The host's real job is scheduling reliability, which is why automated cleaner dispatch on every new booking matters.
