Channel manager

Channel manager · definition
  • A channel manager is software that connects one calendar and price list to multiple OTAs, so availability updates everywhere at once and double bookings are prevented.
  • Category: Distribution

What it does

It holds a master calendar and pushes every change — new booking, blocked date, price update — to Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo and the rest in near real time, and pulls their bookings back into one place.

What it does not do

A channel manager syncs data; it does not write listings, set prices or answer guests. That work stays with you unless a manager — human or AI — does it for you.
